About Cash Corn
Cash corn bids and basis, copied from USDA AMS Market News state grain reports and shown with each report's date.
Where the numbers come from
USDA's State Grain Reports page links each state's grain bid report as a PDF. We download those PDFs, read the yellow corn tables, and show every row with its report ID, title and date. A script downloads each report again and checks that every row we show still appears in USDA's text word for word; a report USDA has replaced since we collected it is marked for refresh, not shown as verified.
USDA's MARS data API requires a key, so we use the public reports instead.
How fresh it is
This page set was built from reports collected Oct 12, 2026. The newest report dates up to Monday, October 12, 2026. A report more than 8 days older than our collection date is labelled out of date and its bids aren't shown. The site is set up to rebuild daily from a fresh, verified download. Bids change during the day; USDA's report is a snapshot.
What's ours
- The state price range on the home page is our summary of the report's current-delivery prices.
- ZIP finder distances are our straight-line calculation between Census ZIP and town centers.
- Month names next to basis letters come from USDA's own month symbols.

Not trading advice
We publish USDA's reported figures only. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, store or hedge grain, and we make no price predictions.
